Novartis Foundation Symposium Series
The proceedings of the Foundation's symposia
are published in book form and have been sold worldwide. So far,
we have held over 350 symposia on a wide range of subjects, from
organic chemistry, biology and medicine to agriculture and environmental
science.
What makes our books special?
The publications that result from these meetings are not typical of
normal symposium volumes, which are often just a collection of papers submitted by the
speakers. In our meetings, roughly half of the time is allotted to discussion, and this
forms an integral part of the book, carefully edited to retain the flavour of verbal
interchange whilst ensuring accuracy and readability.
These lively debates, coupled with the international stature of the
participants, have earned Novartis Foundation Symposium volumes a unique and respected
place in the scientific literature. They are published by John Wiley & Sons,
Chichester. |
